We have been investigating weather recording instruments. We planned our own, built them and tested them. Some of us used a scale so we could measure accurately!
We have been learning about the Sun. We wrote facts about it and designed our own Sun's using pastels.
We have been learning about the Great Fire of London. We finished off our History topic by visiting Pegswood Fire Station.

On Monday 1st February we were visited by Lorna from Northumberland County Council who came to school to deliver some workshops all about recycling.
First, she gave an assembly to the whole school about litter; what litter was and what we could do about it.
In our class, we then learnt about recycling. We found out what we could recycle within Northumberland; did you know that every county has different recycling rules? We didn't! We also found out what 'rubbish' could be turned into, e.g. plastic bottles into a fleece hat! We learnt a lot about rubbish and how it can affect the environment.
