Through Physical Education, sport and a healthy, active lifestyle, we aim to develop skills in social, physical, personal, thinking for learning and creative situations across our school for all our pupils.
We aim to produce physically literate children who are competent, confident, knowledgeable, understanding, motivated and active for life.
We offer over two hours of PE each week and utilise expertise through, for example, the Youth Sport Trust and our local sports partnership who organise festivals, training, clubs, extra curricula clubs and much more. These activities can help us obtain the opportunity to compete at the School Games.
We set high expectations that inspire, motivate and challenge pupils in a safe and stimulating environment, rooted in mutual respect.
We expect good progress and outcomes by pupils through planning and teaching well-structured lessons where our teaching is adapted to respond to the strengths and needs of all pupils.
We manage behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment and are fortunate to have lots of space both inside and out to develop this, including a swimming baths on site which is used by our Key Stage Two pupils who further develop swimming skills at the local Leisure Centre in Morpeth.
